About LIDO Skin Care

Sarah...

With her training in pastry and baking, a love for the environment and need for truly natural skin care products, Sarah used her knowledge from formulating delicious pastry recipes to create beautiful, natural skin care...safe enough to eat! Part ‘hippy’, part business women, Sarah spends her day runnning LIDO Skin Care, working at her ‘day’ job of teaching hot yoga and gardening at her home in Nova Scotia.

The name LIDO (pronounced lee-doh) was chosen for its personal meaning, as it was the business name of Sarah’s grandfather. After much consideration of other names, LIDO was picked solely because of simplicity, uniqueness and personal meaning. Thus LIDO Skin Care was born!

Our Formulations...

Our formulations were created with the health of your skin and the environment in mind. At LIDO Skin Care, we believe that the earth produces everything our body and skin needs and wanted to create a beautiful, effective skin care with producing minimal environmental damage. We accomplish this by meticulously picking ingredients that are only 100% natural, by hand blending and pouring formulations and practicing responsible and ethical actions that will benefit the earth we live on.

Many people are becoming more aware of what they put in and on their bodies and their surrounding environment. LIDO Skin Care is committed to bring these people safe, 100% natural skincare.

Our Mission...

Our mission is to provide knowledge and transparency in all aspects of our company, from what goes into our products to our conscientious business practices while creating effective, safe skin care products that are beneficial to you and the planet. We will continue to grow and learn, while maintaining our core environmental values and continually support non-profit organizations, charities & activities that positively affect our environment.

Did you know...

  • your skin can absorb up to 60% of whatever you put on it!
  • many chemicals, like penetration enhancers and chemical preservatives are used in almost every conventional skin care product on the market.
  • many products that claim to be 'natural'  still have nasty chemicals in the ingredient list.
  • conventional soaps, shampoos and other products get washed down the drain and effect natural habitats, especially aquatic wildlife.
